Big problem with Media tracker, HELLLLLP :(
Hello,

I have a problem with the mediatracker and it's driving me crazy! I've tried several manipulations, I can't solve my problem. Let me explain:

I want to create a "Micro machines" style camera during the race. To do this, I use the mediatracker. I go to the "during the game" section, I add a first trigger, and I record my different ghost opponents on it. I also place a "personal camera" to adopt the same angle as in the "Micro Machines". So far, so good.

Then, all along my circuit, I create other triggers, each including the "personal camera" tool with the aim of having the camera constantly stay behind player 1, making a fluid movement in the turns.

Except that, when I validate my circuit, my ghost drivers completely disappear from the circuit when I cross the second trigger.

And if I go through the mediatracker and record a new ghost on trigger 1, all the opponents become almost transparent when I cross the second trigger.

Can you tell me how to make the opponents stay present throughout the race please?

Many thanks for your help!

I don't believe that's possible. When a mediatracker trigger is activated, it essentially interrupts and overrides any other mediatracker trigger being played. So, the ghosts from the first trigger end immediately when the second trigger starts playing. The only way to keep the ghosts is to do all of your mediatracker in just one trigger.

One option for your camera is to anchor camera rotation to the vehicle, which means that the camera will rotate with the car as it turns and such. It might not look as fluid as the cameras you have set up, but at least you wouldn't need triggers to rotate the camera at each turn.

On a slightly unrelated note, one nice thing about the current trigger system is that, for future maps, if you ever want to force a camera for a bit (like forcing cam 3 in a loop, for example), you can easily stop the forced camera by having an empty trigger where you want to return the camera to normal. The empty trigger will overwrite the forced camera, and since there's nothing in the trigger it'll essentially stop any other mediatracker stuff (in this case, the forced camera). I know that's not relevant to your question, but it's good to know if you plan to mess with mediatracker in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to answer me.

If I'm not mistaken, this trigger operation must have been modified following an update because I remember creating a circuit maybe 6 months/1 year ago, in which I was able to place several cameras as I wanted, while keeping the ghosts active.

Thanks again for your help and advice on the Mediatracker ;)
