Since a few months now, you can also upload your map to Nadeo live services using the cloud icon in the track list in-game.

And as of a few months ago, you can also click the cloud icon when looking at the track in the track list in-game. This will also upload it to Nadeo's cloud so that records work.

This issue should be fixed now. For example, you can now use the picker (CTRL+Left Click) to select a block or item, no matter which mode you're in. Or you can delete (X+Left Click) to delete a block or item, no matter which mode you're in.

I would agree about being inspired by other people's maps. You can definitely learn a lot by looking at how others use block combinations in their maps. But don't take whole sections of someone else's map unless you ask permission and give credit.
