Backstory:
During quarantine, I was bored and I was watching a lot of TM content. In particular, I started to gain interest in trial maps and the challenge they offered. For a long time I just watched all the GPS videos of the extreme TMNF trial maps and watched some streamers struggle and succeed in completing some of the hardest maps that can be finished in this game. After a while, I felt brave enough to take on some of the easy trials of TMNF, and I had a ton of fun, which was of course accompanied by a lot of frustration and heartbreaking fails. With the release of the new game, I suddenly felt the urge to build a trial map myself. And so I started on this project. Before this, I had never spent more than 2 hours on building a single map in my 5 years of playing TM. This trial map took me roughly 50 hours if I take into consideration the countless hours wasted trying to figure out the mediatracker and rendering replays. However, I had a great time every step of the way and it feels really satisfying to finish this project. I am really happy that I finally taught myself some of the basics of the amazing mediatracker and greatly expanded my knowledge of the map editor in general.
About the Map:
It's a trial map, so its obviously not meant to be easy. That being said, this is a very easy trial map in the grand scheme of things. All the tricks are quite challenging for me, although after 50 hours I have gotten quite good at them. I am certainly not the best player by any means, and I think that anyone with any trial experience at all should not have any issues finishing. I consider my author time of 41 minutes to be a strong time by my standards, but a time under 15 minutes or something would probably not be an issue for some of the best trial players. There are 8 checkpoints, which means there are 9 segments in total, all of which I tried to make roughly the same difficulty. I enjoy playing all of them and I tried my best to avoid kacky tricks and random stuff.
