If there was a guideline that I follow on every map I do, it would be to avoid straight roads. I think I've succeeded when a track challenges drivers on every block. If I do place straight roads, I'll hide them by adding checkpoints, pillars, junctions, elevation or pitch changes, anything at all to keep things interesting. I'll keep doing this to a fault, and often end up with a track that's so twisting that it compromises the flow and I'l have to start over. But when things end up working, it's very satisfying to me.

I was happy with the tracks I'd released so far in this new edition of TM, but wanted to crank up the difficulty a bit for this next track. That meant going back to those ever so twisted paths. Riskier drifts. Daring transitions. You'll find that the optimal line is quite narrow at times, but nailing it feels good. I also managed to include a grass bit in there, a first one for me. The track ends with a challenging engine cut turn, where you need to land in a U-turn while maintaining your momentum across the finish line.
