[Tutorial] How to apply a texture mod
First of all, you can find some texture mods by Banano_TV on the TM Discord server.

Link to TM Discord:
https://discord.gg/trackmania

Link to the post where he shares 7 different mods, including the one I used in this tutorial:
https://discordapp.com/channels/158349559959912448/159365348510924801/744235605835120660

There's also the cobblestone road mod that htimh made (and hosted by ubm3d). He says people are free to use it. Here's a direct link to the mod:
http://ts.covertstrike.org/zip/Edinburgh.zip

You can only apply mods to an existing map. So you'll need to create the map first. And then...

Paste in one of the mod URLs you get from the Banano_TV post I linked to at the top of this tutorial...

Voila! Your modded map. And since you used a URL, the mod will load for other players.

Just be sure to save your map at the end of the process.

If you want to make your own mod, here's a link to the DefaultTextures for the game:
https://mega.nz/file/9CNSQDLA#b0W1Q3enG7ZAPv0XQGWArhk3sIPHV0S483Ly8annqw4
It's a good starting point for modders.

Have fun!

Hello eyebo, would you know where to find a low resolution version of these default textures? I notice that my mod is at 66Mo already, which is too big to expect people to sit and wait for it to dl. (:

Or maybe you can start from the default texture, and halve their dimensions while working on them?

edit: keep the ratio correct, and you can downsize the filesize. 8-|

That's really interesting.

I have a question. Where can I upload zip files online to add new mod on game?

Thanks.

Hi, is there any other website ?

Thanks for your help

Some people use Dropbox or Google Drive. Apparently if you modify the URL slightly you can get a direct link. I personally recommend against using those services. If they change their URL scheme, the locator for your mod could break in the future. I prefer something a little more future-proof, which is why maniacdn is a good solution.

ManiaPark was a good solution for TM2 mods. But I don't think they support TM2020 mods.

Hi, here is how to use dropbox (not only for mods):
1. Get the link to your file
2. rewrite the "www" to "dl"
3. Delete ?dl=0 after the file extension
4. paste ingame

Example:

before: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k8uxnvzt69ffnsg/Black%20Box.zip?dl=0
after: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/k8uxnvzt69ffnsg/Black%20Box.zip

Here's a youtube video for how to apply texture, though I haven't been able to do it myself. If anyone has a more recent video on how to do it that would be greatly appreciated.
