XPEvo
XPEvo is a LAN tournament hosted by Xperion Cologne from the 22nd - 24th of September. The current forecast is that this event will be one of the larger international LAN events in the Trackmania scene. With the generous assistance of Xperion they will be providing much of the resources for the event, we therefore want maps of the highest quality in order to repay their generosity. The tournament map rules are listed directly beneath.

Map Rules:
Map name prefix: XPEvo - MapName
Map length: 55s-65s
Style: Competitive Mixed
Mood: Any as long as the route is properly lit up.
Difficulty: Intermediate to advanced.
Scenery: Attractive but not at the cost of the visibility for the players and spectator. Alternative finish (if technical one). Respawnable.
Blockmix and mixmapping: Allowed as long as it's clean. Embedded items are allowed, however the use should not impact performance.
Signs/Decals: The official XPEvo signpack is required to be used in the map. It can be found below.
Texture Mod: The official XPEvo texture mod is required to be used in the map. It can be found below.
No. of maps: A maximum of 3 maps can be submitted.

The signpack includes sponsors and event branding, usage of these is mandatory in a visible place. The signpack can be found here: https://cdn.evotm.com/tm2020/signs/XPEvo_SignPack.zip

The XPEvo mod is light texture mod, inspired by the TMWT texture mod, usage of this is mandatory. The texture mod can be found here:

PS: We will not be accepting any offers for full map packs by any mapping group. But we do hope all mapping groups encourage their mappers to submit maps for this tournament.

Map submissions & map review process:
For XPEvo we're going with an improved map submission process, which we will outline below.

Maps have to be submitted to the XPEvo Map Submission website, which you can find here: https://maptesting.evotm.com/xpevo-2023

Deadline: July 31st

Review process:
All maps submitted to the website will be automatically anonymised for testers and put on a test server where our dedicated map testers will test them. When they are done testing they will be have to fill out a feedback form where they have to rate the map in several categories and provide additional, text-based feedback for the mapper.

Mappers will be able to immediately see the feedback for their map, whether or not it is accepted to the map pool, or if there's any changes that need to be made to the map (e.g. to fix cuts, flickering textures, route visibility, etc).

Once maps have been selected, they will receive in-depth testing to work out any potential additional issues overlooked during the initial review selection process.
