and welcome for my next map called:

Arboretum





:build: Estimated building time:
Again a very hard to estimate building time on this one, since I had gear issues in the original route and struggled with the Scenery. Furthermore in the Mapping Difficulties Section.
Route: 15h. I had the basic route pretty fast, but it took me ages to get to the final result, where a gear up to 5 is very unlikely.
Scenery: 15h. Quite equal to the route. It's is a pretty simple scenery style, but I had way more in my mind to create, however the FPS came in my way and said: "We don't do that here!".
So I had to find a good balance between frames and trees.

Total: ~30h (which is pretty average for me)


🎢 Track Deskription:
The track itself is ~43sec long grass map fully in 4th gear focusing on precision lines to avoid airtimes and one small water section that has wet grass. The track has close to 0 Transitions and should be gear issue free so you can focus fully on the lines.
Everthing else is quite standard. Intro, Ambient with some special light to create a cooler surrounding effect and my first podium scene.



🏅 Author Medal:
Driven by me and this is I think my personal best on this map. The GPS is very close, but a bit slower. I'm proud of the AT and hope it is a perfect suit for COTD to hunt.

🚧 Signs:
I have no signes used. Can you believe it? Incredible, but quite understandable if you look at the route it is pretty clear where to go.


🎶 Music:
This time I used a mix of:
Dark Souls - Darkroot Garden Ambient sounds
Prey - Aboretum Ambient music

I think It suits quite well to the feeling of the map. I hope you too.


🎮 Testers and Feeback:
I got some H U G E help by some 4W members.
Thank you   asse.4W for testing the route and pointing out not so well built parts. ❤
And another big Thank you to   ShcrTM for being such an offroad god to find these weird gear issues. That would have been never noticed by me, since I'm not good enough.

🗿 Easter Eggs:
I've placed a little easter a in the map. Not that hard to find and visible with cam7. ;)


🏗 Mapping Difficulties:
I had quite some problems in 2 areas:
Route:
The problem on this one was the issues that you were able to gear up to 5 (if you were really good) which is sadly not accaptable for me. So I had a long back and forth with   ShcrTM to find a solutions that is gear issue free.
Scenery:
The big problem with the scenery was the frames, since I had low frames on my first versions. To fix this the track did'nt fully turned out how I wanted it to be. It is a lot simple scenerywise. However I still think it is appealing to the eye and serves the purpose of creating the atmosphere of a Aboretum.



After all that reading (since it doesn't stay unread, Rex 😏 ) I hope you have a lot of fun.
