CuboZoa [MTC]

Welcome to CuboZao , my entry for MTC February.


The theme was to build a map using a 4x4x4 building area: like a cube.
Scenery outside was allowed. 🌴
As I like to build in small spaces, I had to give this MTC a shot!

Route:

What followed was a < 1 minute flowy [miniRPG] route. Consisting of different surfaces, tricks and stunts.
From typical RPG elements to also more creative fun approaches: bugslides, underwater sections, dirt-/ice slides, driving on the roof via magnets, many little jumps etc.

And as a visual highlight: you will leave the cube at one point and fly outside with reactor boosts and land back inside, finding yourself driving upside down. 👀

Scenery:

As I liked the given cube dimensions, I decided to enclose my route in a stylish glass case.
The inside is decorated with the route architecture elements itself, some ballons and ambient blue & purple lights.
For the outside section, I decided to go for some custom item magic:

This resulted into a glass cube, placed inside a beautiful floating rocky water island.
Illuminated by the morning sun.
Some fern and palms later, the image takes shape: but the key element is still missing [...]

Name explanation: CubeZoa

You might be wondering what this exotic name means. Well you maybe have heard about those deadly jellyfish in Australia etc. Those cubed jellyfish (Würfelquallen) are in the class of CubeZoa:

From Wiki: Box jellyfish (class Cubozoa) are cnidarian invertebrates distinguished by their box-like (i.e. cube-shaped) body. Some species of box jellyfish produce potent venom delivered by contact with their tentacles. Stings from some species, including Chironex fleckeri, Carukia barnesi, Malo kingi, and a few others, are extremely painful and often fatal to humans.

Fascinated by those creatures, I decided to style my cubed map around this theme: In the water and floating in- and around the cube, you will find plenty of those mystical jellyfish. 🐙 The glowing tentacles will guide you the way. The translucent ghost like souls are part of this little world. 🦋

Btw: The abstract logo you can spot on the sign ingame is something I made for fun in Illustrator some time ago.
Its an unoffial "Citoxe" logo. Consisting of every letter of the name in some form. 🐢
Thought it would be cool to show it here, as it has some natural wavy vibes.

Also there is a hidden propellerhat, can you find it? 🧢

Notice: As it is mRPG with weird angles and flips, I decided to add no mediatracker cam switches: You have the total freedom to choose your favorite camera, where you want, when you want!
