Humanity has long dealt with concern about hostile environments thanks to innovation in terraforming. What was considered impossible in the past is now the reality. Entire landscapes can be modified like some sort of an artpiece, what's the most important: these changes are pernament.
Upon once scorched lands of Mexico lays a new type of resource undervalued in the past. As simple as it seems, this resourse is space, area. The Mexican supercommunities have forseen this opportunity, and kept their expansion limited in the proximity of megacities. The empty land is now worth more than ever. Mexican cybercouncil opens the land for sale, which sparks an immediate response. All the space was sold in less than a second, with rates as high as 5 million Unicoins per acre.
What happens next is the massive industralization of the whole Mexican area. Developers build higher and higher, some reach the worldwide-specified limit of 2 kilometers. The whole landscape is filled with innovation. If you showed the level of technology to someone from, let's say, 21st century they wouldn't even know where to begin asking questions.
Once empty landscapes are now home to supercommunities from all around the Earth. Above ground, the New Mexico is born.
Anywaysssssss, this map was build for the Wirtual's speedmapping competition, the whole map took around 5,5h with 1,5h for the route, 3,5h for the scenery and the rest for other stuff. Very happy with how the map turned out, enjoy some dirt with "funky" angles (again
) and some smol transitions. Oh and of course admire the scenery
.
